Everything has been going pretty well. Still no sickness or constipation, my moods have actually been fabulous. Is pregnancy nature's prozac? It sure feels like it.
On a less than stellar note, my blood platelet count is freakishly low. It should be between 150,000 and 170,000. Mine is 84,000.
Not good. If it doesn't improve I won't be able to have an epidural and I'm at a higher risk of bleeding out during delivery if there are any problems. If I have to have a C-section, I can't have a spinal block. I'll have to be completely unconscious for my child's birth. That's awesome. I guess I have the first part of my "birth plan." Haha. I'm not terribly worried. My mother didn't have any pain medication with me or my sister, and she still loves us!
I had my first appointment that didn't include an ultrasound. I'm only 15 weeks and I've already had 6. It was a little weird, all I got was the sound of the Sprout's heartbeat, which of course was enough for me. I had just gotten so used to seeing Sprout that it was a little disappointing not to.
I started up a Jillian Michael's DVD, just with some modifications on the high-impact stuff. I feel much better being active, and the length of the workouts is a real bonus. 30 minutes for a total body workout really fits into my schedule and my energy level. It's also actually easier on my sore joints (thanks again, Lupus) to do a shorter workout, and the more I move, the better I feel the next day.
My newest pregnancy "cravings" list includes:
Iced decaf green tea with agave
Chocolate coconut Luna Bars
Low Fat Yoplait yogurt (Banana Cream Pie flavor)
Lemon water
Iced Skinny Peppermint Mochas from Starbucks
Pears
Celery
